Up for sale is a phenomenal mid century impressionist still life oil painting on canvas depicting a table top with a candle, teapot, fruit and a draped white sheet behind. This work is executed in oil on canvas and is illegibly signed in the lower left corner. The quality and overall execution attests to the artists talent displaying his understanding of brushwork, use of color and play of shadow. Resting in its original white wood frame measuring 16 5/8 x 20 5/8 inches the canvas measures 16 x 20 and is ready to be hung and enjoyed. The condition of this painting is excellent with just a couple minimal blemishes along the bottom edge.

The entire painting is created with thick brushstrokes which allows you to see how the artist crafted this one flick of his hand at a time. Not only does it add great texture but depth as well as wonderful colors were incorporated into the work which can be seen when viewing this work up close. A large white sheet hangs in the background creating a bright heavy contrast to the predominately dark scene. This work overall is stunning and deserves to go to a good home. Unfortunately the artist is unknown but apparently of extreme talent, could be an excellent & collected artist.
