Up for sale is a stunning original Japanese Edo Period watercolor depicting a geisha playing a koto. This original work of art is well executed with wonderful detail not only seen in the face but also a real sense of silk in her dress. This is signed in the low right with the Shogunate seal. Measuring a total of 14 x 10 inches the paper has succumb to some toning and matt burn but overall is in excellent condition. Some minor foxing and a vertical crease down the center.
