Up for sale is an outstanding original watercolor painting by the talented South Carolina painter Steven Jordan known for his depictions of the low-country. This original composition is entitled “Obey Traffic Signs #3” and shows a draw bridge with its signs indicating walking or fishing is prohibited but humorously painting is allowed. This is a rather interesting work because the center of the painting shows the illusion of a piece of paper showing a sketch of the draw bridge from which the painting was derived or at least started from. Signed in the lower-left corner the condition is just outstanding, free from any wear or damage and is large with the painting measuring 29 x 18 1/2 inches while the frame measures 43 1/2 x 31 1/4 inches. Verso is attached the original artist label from the Springfield Art Museum, Missouri from 1998 along with an artist bio and original price of $2000. This is a wonderful example from Jordan and a fine case in point as to why his works of South Carolina are so desirable and enjoyed by many collectors.

This is a large painting and will only be sold framed if you pick the work up. If you require the painting to be shipped I will remove the work and only ship the painting!
