Up for sale is a fine example of Chuck Jones’s 1991 hand-pulled stone lithograph entitled “Whiskers Mother” after the famous painting “Whistlers Mother” by James McNeill Whistler executed in 1871. Printed in 1991 this was part of the “Master Series” of eleven lithographs that paid homage to some of Chuck’s favorite compositions including works by Whistler, Duchamp, Dali, Chagall and Van Gogh. Numbered 56 out of the edition of 350 this work is in pristine condition and comes framed with double matting under acrylic. The overall quality and colors are so exquisitely printed that the work has the appearance of a color pencil/ink drawing. The acrylic shows scratches from cleaning and verso is the original retail label noting the purchase price of $600 over 30 years ago.
