Up for sale is a fabulous original published illustration by the talented Science Fiction artist Vincent Di Fate from 1989. Published in the Winter 1989 edition of science fiction Weird Tales magazine, this painting was for Phyllis Ann Karr’s ”The Lady of Belec”. Depicting an interior scene with three figures, one man is seen handing a sword to the other as presumably the Lady of Belec stands viewing head-on. Two small planets appear to be located at the top of the painting. The work is signed by the artist low left “VDF”. Executed in ink an artist scratchboard measuring 9 1/2 x 13 1/3 inches this work does have a white matting measuring 13 1/4 x 17 inches. The overall quality of this rare illustration is outstanding from its sense of depth and level of detail. The original magazine which this work was published in is also included. The images provided accurately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine Science Fiction Di Fate painting but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing! The only not of imperfection is a tiny pinhole puncture present above the man’s forearm who is handing over the sword.
