Up for sale is an exceedingly rare painting by the female American California painter Helen L. Crail. With worth rarely surfacing Crail's works are beyond scarce with very few examples ever surfacing. Crail settled in Long Beach, California by 1930, and was an active member of the Long Beach Art Association, the Laguna Beach Art Association, and was exhibition chairman in the late 1940's for the Artist's Guild of Southern California.

This painting depicts a lovely California desert landscape with mountains cast in purple in the distance while the foreground shows an array of desert vegetation. Signed low right, "H.L. Crail" this painting is executed in oil on canvas measuring 12.25 x 14.25 inches while the attractive original off white wood frame measures 17 x 18.75 inches making this work ready to be hung and enjoyed!
