Composed in watercolor and gouache this beautiful work of art is executed on a heavy watercolor paper dating to the mid 19th century. Signed in the lower right corner "H. TER BURGH" this painting is in great condition when considering its age with minimal wear to the edges and light discoloration from handling. This has been unframed and came out of a large collection of European watercolors of this period. The top right corner has has crease at the very top.
Measuring in total 13 3/8 x 18 1/8 inches the watercolor is not mounted or attached to any board with multiple pencil inscriptions verso possibly indicating its previous collections. The quality os excellent and aesthetically pleasing to the eye painted with a slight impressionist feel.
