Up for sale is a truly phenomenally carved and monumental vintage Inuit / Eskimo Alaskan soapstone carving depicting a reclining walrus with tusks. Measuring in at 15.5 inches long and 7.5 inches tall, it weighs approximately 421.5 ounces / 26.35 pounds! This large and extremely well carved figure is numbered and signed on the underside "E91717 "CDC" along with the original price of $125. The condition is very good but does show some minor signs of age with a couple of old chips to its flipper and back tail of which both do not affect the aesthetic beauty or collectibility of this fine work of art.
