Up for sale is a stunning and exceedingly rare piece of fine pottery from the Doulton Lambeth studio circa 1875. Created by their most desirable and first female artist "Hannah Barlow" this pink, white and blue vase depicts a powerful lion on the front, lioness verso and two packs of dogs on each side. The vase is a base white with pink, orange and gold with the only blue being the animals. Clearly marked on the underside with all appropriate identification marks this vase is quite large measuring 17 inches tall and 7 inches at its widest. The condition is excellent other than the slight chip to the top of the lip and slight crack running down from it. An even crazing is also present which is consistent with its age. The images provided accuerately represent the quality, condition and aesthetic beauty of this fine piece of Doulton pottery but if you have any questions please feel free to ask prior to purchasing!
